SMS / Text Message Policy

Hull and Hull Medical Specialists, LLP, doing business as Broward Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists (hereinafter “the Practice”), operates a text messaging (SMS) program to communicate with patients regarding their care.

Who May Receive SMS Messages

Text messages are sent only to patients who have provided their mobile phone number and consented to receive SMS communications from our office during registration or at any point during their care.

Types of Messages We Send

Messages sent by Broward Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists may include:

Office directions and location assistance
Appointment reminders and confirmations
Notifications that test results are available — please call the office
Reminders for recurring tests (e.g., annual CT chest, pulmonary function studies)
General patient care communications from our office

Message Frequency

Message frequency is less than once per week. Messages are sent only as needed for patient care purposes.

Carrier Charges

Message and data rates may apply. Standard SMS and data rates from your wireless carrier apply to all messages sent and received. The Practice does not charge any additional fee for this service.

How to Opt Out (STOP)

You may opt out of receiving text messages from us at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After sending STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.

Privacy

Your mobile phone number and any information shared via SMS will be kept confidential and used solely for patient care communications.
